Santa Paws ‘Welly’ Walk – NEW for 2024 at Forge Mill Farm
Sunday 1st December 24 – 10.30am to 2.00pm
Bring your dogs, sparkly jumpers and Christmas cheer and join us for a Festive walk around Forge Mill Lake, with Santa Himself! To take part just donate a pair of new or used wellies to help grow our new Welly Bank to help children and young people who don’t have any wellies for a school trip to the farm!
Once we are back from our walk you can explore the Big Christmas weekend at the farm and:
- Get a photo with Santa Paws
- A gift for each dog from Santa
- Fun dog show including best dressed dog and owner and cutest christmas trick!
- Enjoy Festive food and drink
- Pick your Own Christmas Tree
- Make your own hamper- just pay for what you pick
- Visit the mini market stalls in the Christmas barn
- Pick your own Christmas veg for the big day
Only dogs need a ticket to take part in the walk and get their gift from Santa Paws. The Christmas barn and Farm Shop are free to access for everyone else.
The walk will last about one hour. We will aim to walk as a group with Santa Paws at a steady pace. Some families may walk faster/slower but don’t worry, we can all meet up at the end in the court yard at Forge Mill Farm or in the Christmas barn!!
Timings:
- From 10:30– Meet outside Forge Mill Farm shop
- 11:00 – Start group walk with Santa Paws around Forge Mill Lake
- 12:00 – Back to the Farm, Festive food and drink available to purchase including NEW Yorkshire Pudding Wraps!!!
- From 12:30- Access to the Christmas barn
- Meet Santa Paws for a photo and a doggy gift
- Christmas dog show/Competition
- Shopping Opportunities and PYO Christmas tree
To take part in the walk just donate a pair of new or used wellies to our new Welly Bank. This event does not include access to the rest of the farm or to meet the animals. A separate ticket to visit the farm can be purchased online or on the door but dogs are not permitted beyond the admission point.
Dogs must be well behaved and well socialised to take part and must remain on a lead at all times to avoid scaring the birds around the lake.
